I gotta say, that is one of the perks of all the same living at habitation and two, having a firm full a people.

Walking in the door, opening the fridge and realizing you bought a gazillian and one things, but somehow managed to forget the 2 items needed most. The two items yous actually went to the shop for! Seriously, why does this happen?

Here is my problem, I write these lists and somehow they do actually make it into the store with me (that is a phenomenon right there), but so I set the list in my cart. And then the cart starts piling up, and then it go'southward lost under the giant bag of avocados, boxes of strawberries, gallons of milk and cans of kokosnoot milk and so on and so on. So by the time I become to the check out the cart is flood and I call back, oh yeah, I got everything.

A lot of times I volition find the list as I unload and so run through the store grabbing the last few items, all while I am probably annoying the heck out of the cashier… not to mention the people backside me. Bowls

  • 2 large carrots cut into matchsticks
  • 1 cucumber cut into matchsticks
  • 1/ii a small head green cabbage roughly chopped
  • 1 loving cup fresh cilantro roughly chopped
  • 1/2 cup fresh mint roughly chopped
  • i/3 cup roasted peanuts chopped
  • 4 cups steamed white rice
  • Add the cubed meat to a bowl and toss with the garlic, 1 tablespoon chocolate-brown sugar, ane tablespoon olive oil, salt and pepper. Toss well and let the meat sit at room temperature for 1 hour.

  • In a small bowl whisk together the remaining ii tablespoons brown sugar, soy sauce, fish sauce and rice vinegar.

  • During this time I like to make the rice, prep the veggies and brand the hoisin sauce so it is all set to get when the beefiness is done.

  • In one case the meat has sat for ane hour, heat a large heavy bottomed skillet over high heat until very hot. Add the remaining olive oil (a picayune less than i/3 loving cup) and heat until just barely smoking. Carefully add the meat and melt undisturbed, over high estrus for 1 minute or until browned. Turn the meat and cook for 1 minute longer or until browned. Tilt the skillet and bleed off all but 1 tablespoon of oil into an old can or jar. Add the bong peppers and saute 1 minute. Add the green onions and cook for 30 seconds. Pour in the soy sauce mixture, shaking the skillet to glaze the meat. Add the butter and shake the pan until the butter is melted. Turn off the heat.

  • Divide the rice among 4 bowls. Add together the carrots, cucumbers. cabbage, cilantro and mint. Pour the beef + peppers over the rice. Garnish with chopped peanuts and serve with the Hoisin Sauce.

To Brand the Hoisin Sauce

  • Combine the hoisin sauce, peanut butter, sweetness thai chili sauce, sesame oil and crushed red pepper. Stir to combine and add water as needed to thin the sauce out. Serve with the bowls.
